Kartavyapath – Value Education for a Better India

At the DewanBahadurLatthe Foundation, we believe that nurturing strong values in young minds is the cornerstone of building a just, compassionate, and sustainable society. Inspired by the life and ideals of DewanBahadurAnnasahebLatthe, our flagship initiative ‘Kartavyapath’ aims to instillpatriotism, honesty, respect, empathy, and civic duty in children across rural Maharashtra. Kartavyapath is a Marathi-language Value Education Curriculum designed for students in Grades 1 to 8 in rural and semi-urban schools of Belgaum, Sangli and Kolhapur districts. The program combines age-appropriate lessons, interactive stories, and local cultural contexts to help students connect with universal values while remaining rooted in their community heritage.

By instilling these values early, Kartavyapath prepares young citizens who will not only think independently but also act responsibly—towards the environment, the community, and the nation. Our long-term goal is to build a cadre of youth committed to ethical leadership, nation-building, and ecological stewardship.

With over 65% of India’s population residing in rural areas, such imbalances urgently need innovative and scalable interventions.
